School Communicator Link
The School Communicator keeps you up-to-date with what is happening at the school. It updates automatically, and brings you all the latest news and calendar events. It also contains a photo gallery and a range of useful links and documents.
In order for us to improve our communication with you and reduce paper, we encourage you to install the School Communicator on both your computer and mobile phone. It is safe and secure and is used daily by more than ¼ million people worldwide.
Installing the School Communicator is simple.
The desktop/notebook version can be accessed and downloaded at: http://www.d6technology.com/app-download/school/11857 Select the Country - United Kingdom and St Edmund’s Catholic Primary, Whitton. While downloading click “save” and thereafter “run”. You can install the School Communicator on as many computers as you like/ (Mac and Windows available). The application is very user friendly on a desktop and portable but does look quite different to the mobile app.
You can also install the St Edmund’s School Communicator on your mobile phone. There are specific apps available for iPhone and Android.

News and relevant information is added regularly by the school. Your School Communicator will automatically update as new information is added. There’s nothing further you need to do.
IMPORTANT - Get only the news you want
You can select which news and calendar information you would like to receive. Click on the Personalise tab and select the relevant channels and grades from the list provided. (Think of these as simply the year groups of your child/children so that the information is filtered for you).
How will the School Communicator affect your computer?
The School Communicator is a lightweight application and should have no noticeable impact on your computer. In some instances you might need to change your anti-virus or firewall settings to allow the School Communicator to run. If you are on a company network you might need to ask your network administrator to assist you. Over 100 000 parents are already successfully using the School Communicator, both at home and at work.
The School Communicator typically uses about 30Mb of data a month. This will fluctuate a little from month to month depending how often we update the content, but should never be excessive.
Any personal information shared with the School Communicator (including your registration details) is absolutely private, and may only be used by the school. It will not be sold or shared with any third party. The School Communicator servers are protected by Thawte to ensure no unauthorised access of your details.
