Reception Candlemas

Last Monday our Reception Classes led a special service to celebrate the feast called Candlemas.
This is when Mary and Joseph brought their new born infant to the temple in Jerusalem to present him to the Lord and were greeted by the two elders Simeon and Anna.
We celebrated Jesus’ birth at Christmas exactly 40 days ago and we remember that He is the Light of the World. We can be more like Jesus by shining our light.
