The children all looked amazing and I am sure that in 20 years their parents will again be going to their graduations – this time from university! Who knows, only time will tell! Children, we are very proud of you – well done and thank you to our wonderful dignitaries who came along to help them celebrate!

Monday 16 February 2026 Equalities Project Mrs Moreland met with a small team of parents to discuss how we can ensure all our children are being given opportunities to see themselves represented in our curriculum and at school. We discussed specific opportunities and activities around events planned throughout the year as well as targeted and incidental opportunities. We talked about ideas around how to ensure members of our community who come from different cultural backgrounds can be welcomed and feel more involved. We want to break down barriers and make sure all families feel confident in belonging to our wider school family. Our next meeting will be in Friday 20 March at 2pm. If any other parents would like to join our group to share ideas we would be very happy for you to come along and join us. They are organising a sponsored fitness circuit for all the children to take part in as we want to encourage them to be more active and inspire them to work hard to achieve anything they set their minds on. A professional athlete will come and oversee the event and will talk and share their story with the school. The fundraising will help to pay 40% towards the training for unsponsored athletes as well as providing 60% of funds raised back to the school. Monday 2 February 2026 Reception Candlemas Last Monday our Reception Classes led a special service to celebrate the feast called Candlemas. This is when Mary and Joseph brought their new born infant to the temple in Jerusalem to present him to the Lord and were greeted by the two elders Simeon and Anna. We celebrated Jesus' birth at Christmas exactly 40 days ago and we remember that He is the Light of the World. We can be more like Jesus by shining our light.
