Team GB Athlete
Visit ActivKids UK are coming to visit our school. They are organising a sponsored fitness circuit for all the children to take part in as we want to encourage them to be more active and inspire them to work hard to achieve anything they set their minds on. A professional athlete will come and oversee the event and will talk and share their story with the school. The fundraising will help to pay 40% towards the training for unsponsored athletes as well as providing 60% of funds raised back to the school. Information leaflets should come home with your child today so please take time to read it through.

Netball Match

The netball team have been busy over the last 2 weeks and have played 3 games. We started off a little nervous playing an away game against Hampton Hill Juniors. The girls gained confidence over the course of the game and were delighted when their skills paid off and we scored! Unfortunately, we lost the game but the girls definitely learnt some new skills. We held our heads high and moved into our next game against Bishop Perrin with confidence. The girls adapted their play from the first game and it paid off, winning 4-0! Most recently we played against Nelson. The girls tried to communicate better on court and change up their passes. We defended wonderfully in a low scoring game. Well done girls for displaying some fabulous netball skills.

Tag Rugby Match

On Thursday 5 February, St Edmund’s played an away tag rugby match against Buckingham Primary School. St Edmund’s won 10-1 and they are very proud of their win.

Girls Football Match

Yesterday our girls football team played a home match against Heathfield. The girls finished the group stages unbeaten with a victory over Heathfield. Well done!
